Students wishing to request a medical leave must submit the paperwork no later than the last day to drop a class with a W grade. Review dates for last to drop a class with a W grade from your program in the academic calendar.
When can I apply for Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA)?
Students can apply for MLOA at any time during the term. Applications need to be received no later than the last day to drop with a W in the term. Students cannot participate in classes after the last date to drop with a W. Medical Leave of Absence is not available retroactively.

When can I apply for Re-entry from Medical Leave of Absence?
Students seeking to return from a medical leave are asked to submit the required paperwork approximately one month prior to the start of the term they wish to return. We cannot accept documentation before the date listed below as the most recent assessment of a student’s readiness to re-enter is necessary. Requests for re-entry from medical leave must be completed no later than one week prior to the beginning of the term. To review dates for last to add a course in the academic calendar.
